Loneliness chucks out before me like a rug
its bleak subtext of despair
I walk a thousand times
your nowhere streets
Lost, like them
bearing from a distance the lies that got you hopeful
Your soul, acting like the last straw
A humanoid darkness hedges me
this wearing cycle where I die and surface
Go back to the country, Secretive
Here, I try my head inside the wall
It builds back up,
away from love's odour and the numb girlfriend
cooling outside
You get concerned, suddenly, for your dying friends
and get fit
I'm looking through you, weak with boredom
It was months, baby,
her slow suburbs dwell and hold it like a toast
For me, it was brash
Since then I've been circling.
and offer you the world
I extinguish it, that stuff
I'd converted into hard currency, you know,
correct because lasting.
It ended up being foreign, not legit.,
a sort of warping in the air
Desire dresses bravely up
I crush the lighted door
The kid looks after me
We shelter beside the pool of voyeurism
Marriages go past, austere hypocrite
