For my verse renditions of extracts from several of Mozart's letters of 1791 (‘Sleeve Notes’, sections III, IV, VI, VIII, and XI) I drew upon, and am indebted to, two English editions of the correspondence: Hans Mersmann, Letters of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, translated by M.M. Bozman (Dover, 1972), and Emily Anderson, The Letters of Mozart and His Family (Macmillan, 1985).
